Trauma Informed Care Webinar Series: Foundations of Trauma Informed Care for Hospital Leaders

We are pleased to announce a new webinar series designed to support hospitals in achieving excellence in trauma-informed care, WVHA will convene hospitals through a series of educational webinars to facilitate ongoing collaboration and improvement.
The trauma-informed care series will explore the principles and practical application of Trauma-Informed Care across healthcare settings and demonstrate the promotion of compassionate, evidence-based care. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of trauma-informed practices, learn from real-world patient experiences, examine opportunities to improve care delivery, and explore leadership strategies that foster psychological safety, resilience, and supportive workplace cultures. Sessions are designed for clinical leaders and healthcare professionals committed to improving patient experiences and workforce well-being through compassionate, person-centered care.
This introductory webinar will provide healthcare leaders with a foundation for understanding trauma and its impact on patients, families, and healthcare teams. Participants will explore the prevalence of trauma in healthcare settings, examine how policies and practices may unintentionally contribute to re-traumatization, and learn how trauma-informed principles can improve both patient and staff experiences.
