WVHA Quality Conference
Creating a safe environment for individuals within hospital settings is basic to the missions and values of care providers and healthcare organizations. The West Virginia Hospital Association is committed to helping our member hospitals improve quality, reduce medical errors and adverse events, and maximize patient safety through the implementation of education programs and quality initiatives.
Program Overview
The West Virginia Hospital Association invites you to join us for the 2026 WVHA Quality Conference, which will bring together healthcare leaders, quality professionals, and hospital teams from across the state to learn, connect, and share strategies for improving quality, patient safety, and hospital performance.
The theme for the 2026 conference is Advancing Quality Together: Workplace Violence Prevention, aligning with WVHA’s collaborative support for this important topic through early 2027. The conference will provide participants with opportunities to examine current and emerging issues affecting hospitals, share practical strategies, and learn from peers working to improve patient safety, workforce wellbeing, and the overall healthcare experience.
WVHA will host a Chief Quality Officer roundtable on the afternoon of Monday, November 16, followed by the day-long Quality Conference on Tuesday, November 17. Lynda Enos, WVHA’s workplace violence subject matter expert, will join the conference on Tuesday as a keynote speaker.
Program Objectives
- Identify current and emerging workplace violence risks affecting hospitals and healthcare teams.
- Examine practical strategies for preventing, preparing for, and responding to workplace violence.
- Apply approaches that strengthen patient safety, workforce wellbeing, and the overall healthcare experience.
- Share best practices and lessons learned with hospital peers to advance quality across West Virginia.
Audience
Chief Quality Officers, quality, patient safety and risk management leaders, Chief Nursing Officers and nursing leaders, security and emergency preparedness professionals, risk management staff, human resources leaders, behavioral health leaders, frontline caregiver representatives, and other hospital staff responsible for strengthening workplace violence prevention, response, reporting, education, and safety culture.

Continuing Education
Continuing education credits will be sought for Day 2 of the conference. Additional information will be shared once credit details have been finalized.

Day 2 – November 17, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. – Advancing Quality Together: Workplace Violence Prevention

Meals and Refreshments
A snack and beverage service will be provided on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, a continental breakfast, lunch, and beverage service will be provided.

If you are unable to attend, WVHA requests that cancellations be received by Tuesday, November 10, 2026. Substitutions are encouraged
Registration
Registration will close when capacity is reached or on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

The meeting will be held at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. Room reservations can be made using the hotel reservation link below.
